OneRepublic，美国科罗拉多州五人“独立”乐队。从 2006 开始活跃于网络，MySpace 上如今已是两千多万的听众。在首张专辑发行前，他们的单曲“Apologize”就已经显得响应非常良好，在各大电台和各单曲榜都大受青睐。该单曲的混音版还收录于 Timbaland 2007 的专辑《Presents: Shock Value》，可谓别具一格。
不过我却是从“Stop And Stare”认识这支乐队的，估计是先入为主，Apologize 听着一下就腻了（虽然里面的 SOLO 还是很美妙），但这首 Stop And Stare 却是百听不厌：美国版的 Keane。啧啧，原来英伦的那种细腻斯文的气质也可以出现在美国乐队身上。钢琴的娴熟运用、主唱的漂亮假音，甚至是歌词编曲方面等，貌似都不比 Keane 逊色多少。在节奏感上，他们也是丝毫不遗余力地融合了尽可能多的流行元素。至少，他们还多了几把吉他。
《Dreaming Out Loud》发行于 2007 年底，里面的大部分词曲都出自乐队主唱灵魂人物 Ryan Tedder 的手笔。据说他还是位出色的制作人，曾参与多位一线流行歌手的专辑创作。制作人，我感觉就是知道市场需要什么他们就包装什么的人。不简单，流行摇滚乐队可以“独立”如此“高贵”如斯，想不红真的很有难度。
除了上面提到的 Apologize、Stop And Stare，专辑的其他歌曲总体上也是那个制作精良。哦，差点忘记说，封套，封套，比里面的歌曲还英伦！
