Pisces Horoscope for August 2011

If you were assuming you would have a leisurely, easygoing August, with wind blowing through your hair, midnight walks under the stars, and time spent in spas, wearing a thick white bathrobe, sipping tea, and nibbling dried apricots as you await your massage and other treatments, that won't be the case in August. Instead you will be quite busy, running from meeting to meeting, and instead of sipping champagne, you'll be carrying coffee - lots of it. Now the news of this may not initially sound like fun - until you realize how quickly you will be racking up career victories, one right after the other!
This all comes as a bonus of the new moon of July 30, still very strong as August opens, sending lots of energy to your sixth house of workaday projects. Not only will you have several projects on your desk as the month opens, but also you can expect more as time goes by, most likely from people you've worked with previously, but may have not seen in a long time.
I am excited for you because the July 30 new moon sent out a lovely energy that you could use to increase your income and also to get interesting work to boot. Venus was traveling very close to that new moon, which is why you will enjoy the work that comes to you. With Uranus perfectly positioned too, you can expect the unexpected - new jobs will strike like lightning, and everything you do seems to have legs that branch out in new directions. This won't be scattered, wasted energy - just the opposite: Saturn will be sending his gift of stabilizing vibrations to be sure the victories you score now will be ones you can build upon in the future.
The first half of the month will be your busiest. You may be interested to know that Mars is set to arrive in your same sector next month on September 18, and will remain there until November 11. This suggests you will have a pause for awhile in late August and early September, but it won't last long - you'll be very much in demand for many weeks to come.
Mercury will be retrograde this month, however, from August 2 to 26, so it will be very important to keep track of all the bits and pieces of your plans and projects. Organization will be key, so be very deliberate about where you put important data, and not on the backs of envelopes.
Also note where you put your personal items too, such as your smartphone, iPad, iPod, sunglasses, eyeglasses, your wallet, and other things you'd be frantic without. Put your business card in every case (even eyeglass case, and one taped under your computer and iPad too). I say this because you will be distracted this month, and that's when things get lost. Back up your computer and smartphone data too now, while you think of it.
With Mercury retrograde you can't quite sign any documents this month (not until after the vibrant new moon of August 28) because the job description is likely to change, or the nature of the project. Or, it may be that your boss who drew you to this company may suddenly quit, leaving a very different atmosphere for you to cope with later. I realize that in an economy this difficult it's hard to ask a client wait for a final answer from you about a job. In this case, I would like you to wait until after the new moon August 28.
If you are interviewing for a top position or bidding on a large job, you need not ask the client to wait IF the position or project was brought to you by a VIP or company that you know and share a positive past work history. In this case, you would be simply extending a long relationship you already had together. If you have not spoken with the person or company in years, it doesn't matter - you started the relationship a long time ago and need not worry about Mercury retrograde. The same would be true if you are getting into a project you pitched a while ago that never materialized, but will now. In that case, you can proceed.
Completely new business relationships might prove troublesome, however, as Mercury would rather see you look back, not forward. It is true though that unforeseen obstacles may come up under any and all conditions this month, so you will need to allow as much time as you can to get a job done, and plan ahead with extra recruits to keep the project moving forward. It is also not wise to buy any expensive items, and certainly not a computer or anything electronic, as Mercury rules all high tech items and machines with moving parts.
Now let's turn to the subject of your ruling planet, Neptune, which is about to make some headline news in astrological circles. Neptune is about to depart from Pisces, its home base, on August 4 to finish up loose ends left undone in the sign it just had inhabited for a long time, Aquarius. He will only spend six months filling his cardboard box with souvenirs, taking some books off his office shelf, and downloading his hard drive before heading back to Pisces.
Neptune's impending departure of Aquarius in February 2012 will mark the end an era. Neptune will not be back to Aquarius again until 2161, a full 149 years from now. In 1998 Neptune was called in to work with Pluto in Sagittarius, Uranus in Aquarius, and initially, Jupiter in Aquarius. As a team, these big planets revolutionized the world by establishing the Internet for one and all. Their work will be done when Neptune moves out of Aquarius - the die has been cast, and the digital age is on its way.
Neptune popped into Pisces on April 4 of this year for a brief look at the lay of the land - a four-month peek at what's to come. Neptune will back into Aquarius again now, but will return to Pisces for good on February 3, 2012, to stay until January 26, 2026, a period of fourteen years. In Pisces, Neptune will reintroduce the age of romanticism and work to develop artistic expression that is completely new and very exciting.
When Neptune returns to Pisces next year, you, as a Pisces, will truly come into your own, for Neptune's job will be to stimulate the very depths of your imagination, and to help you contribute your best ideas and concepts to the world. Neptune will be your guide for the coming fourteen years and Pisces will be at the vanguard of all that is new and happening. This is going to be wildly important trend for you.
This month, Mars will enter the most creative part of your chart on August 3 and stay until September 18 as it tours Cancer. This sign blends beautifully with your Pisces Sun, so in August and the first half of September, you will find turning out artistic expressions to be as easy as child's play. Your ideas will have excellent profit potential, so take your ideas seriously and others will too.
Now let's turn to several days - five in all - that will deliver all kinds of news, sometimes upbeat, sometimes not, but always important. I have to show you both sides of the ledger, because I don't want you broadsided by a random day I feel might be troublesome - there will be plenty of better days for you to plan your initiations.
A case in point: Monday, August 1, should bring excellent news about money, thanks to Uranus in perfect angle to Venus. Uranus, planet of surprise, is in your second house of earned income, and Venus is in your house of creative projects, so when in sync, you can sell an idea quite suddenly to someone who instantly understands its value.
On Tuesday, August 9, you may get a jolt about money. Mars and Uranus will be at rough angles, so one of your children, or even a lover, may ask you for a loan or outright gift of money. There is another way this could work out, and that would be if a creative project runs over budget. Cutting corners is not your style, so you may feel upset that you have to do so to keep the "suits" happy.
Just two days later, Thursday, August 11, we have another tough day. Mars will aim his guns directly at Pluto in 180-degree opposition. The tension of these two warring planets will cut across your romance and friendship sectors, so it's possible a friend won't like the new person you are dating and say so in no uncertain terms. Listen to what is being said, but don't react until you've had a chance to think things over. Once you have a meltdown, it will be hard or impossible to get the toothpaste back in the tube.
You will have a simply divine full moon, August 13, falling in Aquarius, 21 degrees, and it will have an area of influence of plus or minus four days. This moon will be very friendly to Saturn, so that anything you accomplish at this time of the month will bring greater stability for your future.
Also, Neptune, your ruling planet, will be orbiting very close to the full moon of August 13, so you may be working with one of the arts very intently at the time, whether that be with painting, sculpture, music, dance, poetry, literature, comedy - you name it. This would be an incredibly favorable time to be involved in artistic expression of any kind, or to finish a creative project you have been doing for months.
This full moon falls in your twelfth house so you may feel a little less energetic than usual near August 13 - plan to take things slow and easy.
If you were born on March 11, plus or minus five days, you will feel the energy of this full moon the most and benefit from it too. If you have any planets or a rising sign at 21 degrees Aquarius, Gemini, Libra, Aries, or Sagittarius, you will also feel the upbeat effects of this new moon, for sure!
By the time you get to August 18, Mars in Cancer will reach out to Jupiter in Taurus, giving you the most cheery outlook possible. Creatively, it's clear you're on a roll, and with Mars involved, you could receive a cool sum of money. Jupiter is in a travel and writing sector of your chart, so you may need to be out of town to experience your luck or have a client based there whom you are conversing with on the phone.
The month will end on an incredibly sweet note. One of the very best new moons of the year, in Virgo, 5 degrees, will fall on August 28 in your partnership sector. You can now form an alliance that can stand the test of time, and the actions you take in the first ten days of this new moon will be especially important.
You will have Jupiter AND Pluto supporting this gorgeous new moon. Whenever these two planets collaborate, something big is about to be cooked up. There is a strong business flavor to this new moon, for Jupiter and Pluto are both associated with big money budgets and power.
It also seems that your talent with communication, most specifically writing, editing, and /or speaking, or with publicity, marketing, sales, or even translation and languages, can now put you out front and in the spotlight. A powerful friend, brought to you by Pluto, would likely be instrumental in getting things started.
You can, of course, use this energy for romantic purposes, too. Looking at your chart, this month could turn out to be the best of the year for love. Mars will highlight your fifth house of love, while the new moon, August 28 will open up possibilities for marriage. If you are already married or committed, you can both aim for bigger goals to do together. If you want to have a baby, Mars will help you make that happen from now through September 18.
If you were born February 24, plus or minus five days, you will benefit most from this new moon. You may also benefit if you have a rising sign of the same 0-10 degrees of a planet or rising sign in Pisces, Scorpio, Cancer, Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn.
Last month, on July 1, we had a major solar eclipse (9 degrees Cancer) in your true love sector. Mars is there now, in the very same sector, encouraging closeness along with tender, warm romantic happiness.
On August 16-17 Mars will travel along the same path as the eclipse and create a trigger point, unlocking the news of the July 1 eclipse. If you heard nothing of importance involving love and fun last month, and you were born within five days of February 28, you may hear something on August 16-17. Your romantic life and your creativity too may make headlines.
